Paint in simple steps guided by an artist. We are honored to have Cliff Welty as our special guest teacher on June 24. The Port Aransas Art Center will provide all materials: a 16 x 20 inch canvas, brushes, paint and wine glasses! “BYOB” and snacks, and we will provide the rest. This stress free, fun and creative event. We will paint an evening beach walk as our subject matter.

Instructor | Cliff Welty
Cliff Welty studied drawing and painting under the direction of nationally known artist Mark Clark (Galeria 409), and he took drawing classes at the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art under Luis Foncerrada. Cliff was born in San Antonio. He spent his younger years moving around the western United States with his family, attending thirteen different schools. Cliff married Maritza, then moved to Brownsville. As a young man, Cliff was a truck driver, welder, construction worker, railroad track hand, waiter and he worked in hotel management. His artistic influences are Andre Derain, Diego Rivera, Tamara de Lempicka, Mark Clark, Pablo Picasso, and David Alfaro Siqueiros.
