About this event

Intro to Relief Printmaking with Lino Blocks class designed specifically

for true beginners. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the step-

by-step process of designing, carving, and hand-pressing your own

custom stamps. No prior art or printmaking experience is necessary to

join.

What You Will Learn

 Design & Transfer: Sketch a bold graphic image and

successfully transfer it onto a linoleum block.

 Safe Carving: Master specialized V-shaped and U-shaped

gouge tools to safely carve away negative space.

 Inking & Pressing: Use a rubber roller (brayer) to apply relief

ink evenly and press your design onto paper by hand.

 Multiples: Walk away with a reusable block and a custom set of

fine art prints, greeting cards, or stationery
