Acrylic Paint Class with Greta Watkins | Monday August 24, 2026

This class is geared for beginner to intermediate painters.
Some of the things students will learn:
-How to paint with a limited palette, mixing colors as needed
-Use different kinds of brush strokes and mark making
-Talk about composition of a painting
-Helpful info about working with acrylics, i.e.: how to speed up or slow down drying times
Because this is a painting class, not a drawing class, some assistance will be provided to help, ie: a pattern to trace around, or a photo.

Greta’s Supplies List
Acrylic paint in tubes 
Titanium white 
Cadmium yellow medium 
Pyrrole red 
Phthalo blue 
optional- Quinacridone magenta 
(suggested brand Liquitex Basics, or other Liquitex or Golden tube paints)
Brushes 
Flats 3/4”, 1/2’, 1/8” 
Bring a #2 pencil, and perhaps bring a painting apron. 

Provided: 11 x 14 stretched canvas, containers to rinse brushes, paper towels, easels
