Painting Realistic Waves

A step by step, deep dive into painting waves realistically. Students will learn to render spray, froth, backlight, and all fundamentals, tips and tricks of wave painting.

Wade Koniakowsky, one of the nation’s leading ocean-inspired artists, began painting at the age of six and started surfing before he was 12. By blending these two passions, he has gained worldwide recognition for his oil paintings of the ocean.

3 or 4 sizes from about ½ ‘ wide on down to flats, filberts and round,  and one detail brush
