The 12th Annual Port Aransas Art Walk – PA ART ABOUT – was Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. The event was sponsored by the Port Aransas Art Center and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Guests were encouraged to stop by each participating location for refreshments and “meet and greet” artists and view their art. Enhance your life with ART!

For information about each participating organization, continue reading down the page. Shown below are “Parrotheads” painting during Art About, and their beautiful creations!

The Port Aransas Art Walk is designed to encourage and promote art and culture, and to let everyone know Port A is “Port Arty.” This annual event is a great opportunity to get out and walk, bike or take a cart and learn more about the art culture that enlivens our community. Meet artists and gallery owners, mingle, partake of refreshments along the way, and meet others who share a passion for art. Be sure to encourage a friend or neighbor to come along!

Event report from Mary Rose on Saturday during the event: “Wonderful turnout for the 12th Annual PA ARTABOUT. Folks are all over town buying up original art, what a happy day! Thanks to our ART ABOUT Sponsor Tito’s handmade Vodka and helpers: Annette Casto, Tricia Perrine, Laura Griffith, Dianne Govella and Karen Murray. The Parrotheads had a Wine, Whine & Design-type class here today taught by Karen Winship. Thanks to class helpers Bobbie Mussett, Roseann Milroy, Michele Hein, Mary Ann Ballard, Arlene Hughes and Barbara Behrens.”

Starting in Old Town and winding out Highway 361, this is a self-guided tour of arty locations that allows you to start your tour at any point by following the map, a printed copy of which was available at each location. Click on this link for a digital copy of the map: PA Art About 2018 MAP
