Our thanks go to the Lynn Dickey, our show judge, and to the public. Votes were cast for numerous outstanding artists, almost three fourths of those who entered.
Port Aransas Art Center Member Artists are invited to put their best foot forward and enter one piece in the Annual Tiddle Caylor All Member Show. First Friday occurred on March 1, 2019.
Show Judge Lynn Dickey will select First, Second and Third Place winners. The public will vote all month long, and the artist with the most votes will win the People’s Choice Award. All winners then be included in a Merit Show (as a group), in August.
About Lynn Dickey
Growing up, Lynn Dickey took all the art classes offered in the Corpus Christi, Texas schools as well as private instruction. Following high school, she attended the Kansas City Art Institute, graduating with a BFA in painting. After raising a family and retiring from a career in education she began to spend all her time pursuing her artistic passions, including pottery. Her favorite medium is oil paint. Lynn enjoys painting people, landscapes and painting in plein air. “I love the outdoors and it is a great way to be outside and endeavor to transfer what I feel and see to the canvas.”
Lynn is a certified school art teacher and she has been actively teaching adult oil and acrylic painting classes at the Art Center of Corpus Christi. Her affiliations include:
