This workshop features renowned artist and instructor Anna Lisa Leal. Anna Lisa Leal is an award-winning artist whose work features the resplendent patterns in nature and particularly botanicals. Representations of the colorful and dangerous beauty of cactus, unusual flowers, the undulation of the agave leaf imprinted by the now unfurled leaf, or the poignant swan song beauty of the agave flower are among her specialties. Anna Lisa Leal is a member of the Pastel Society of America, Austin Pastel Society, Central Texas Pastel Society and Pastel Society of New Mexico.

- We begin with an introduction to pastels, papers and ways of using pastels. After lunch on Day 1, Anna Lisa Leal will do a “demo,” then each student will begin working on a painting.
- Day 2 will focus on painting and another demo, if the students would like to have one. The class will conclude with a group appreciation review of everyone’s paintings.
